(Sequim,WA) Namaste Cousins has been hired as the Assistant General Manager and Director of Sales at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Sequim. Said Bret Wirta, CEO of Wirta Hospitality Worldwide, and owner of the hotel, “Namaste has a passion for service, a mind for business, and an expertise in enhancing tourism on the Olympic Peninsula.”
Namaste was born and raised in the Seattle area. After spending most of her early adult life in Sacramento, Namaste and her husband decided to move back to the PNW and landed in Port Angeles, WA. It was there that Namaste fell in love with the Olympic Peninsula and all its beauty and where she got her first taste of the hospitality business.
Namaste was hired as a Front Desk agent at a The Red Lion Hotel and very quickly moved up ranks holding positions as Front Desk Supervisor, Front Office Manager, Sales Manager, Rooms Manager and then to Director of Front Office Operations at the Red Lion in Salt Lake City, all in just a few years. Namaste found her niche in Hospitality Sales, specifically to the Tour and Travel market. In 2015, Namaste booked 166% of her annual sales goal in 9 months. She was awarded Presidents Circle and her hotel won most profitable hotel of the year for the corporation.
In 2016, Namaste spent several months in Salt Lake City, helping execute a major brand transition for her property. She found herself missing the Pacific Northwest and decided to move back to the Olympic Peninsula.
Longtime Holiday Inn Express General Manager, Toni Skinner, said, “Nami has finished her training and we are excited to have her sales and operational experience here at our hotel.”
