Dear Employees,
Happy Labor Day and congratulations on finishing up a busy summer. You’ve provided clean rooms and delicious meals for tens of thousands of guests. Because of you we have the nicest restaurant and the top two rated hotels in Sequim and now, a very nice boutique hotel in Scottsdale.
My family has a history of fighting for worker’s rights, so I understand it’s your labor that has built this country and that continues to make it great. My great-grandparents, poor immigrants from Finland, journeyed far for economic opportunity. They worked in the New England woolen mills all their lives. They labored hard each day while fighting for a better workplace. They stood up for crazy ideas like worker safety, overtime pay and an end to child labor.
On this Labor Day weekend, I want you to know that you are in my family’s thoughts and prayers. We are thankful for each and every one of you and we appreciate all that you do. We will continue to strive to make our company a better place for you to work.
