(Sequim, WA) The Quality Inn & Suites at Olympic National Park is celebrating its second year of working with Morningside Services of Port Angeles, WA. Said General Manager, Nancy Merrigan, “Morningside has changed the lives of individuals with disabilities by matching their skills and interests with positions at our hotel.”
Merrigan continued, “With the help of Morningside, we’ve hired five employees, some with significant barriers to employment. But this relationship has been mutually beneficial. In our tight labor market, it’s difficult to find engaged employees, like Annie, our newest Morningside hire. Annie tells me she’s, ‘Super excited to be an employee!’”
Merrigan said, “Morningside consultants like Lauren Best, are always there to help and coach.” In turn, Ms. Best said, “We are grateful for the teamwork and collaboration that has made this a successful endeavor. The Quality Inn & Suites continues to set the standard which was why we chose them as Outstanding Employer of the Year last year.”
Merrigan said “We’d like to thank our entire Morningside team for their share in our success in remaining an award-winning hotel.” The Quality Inn & Suites’ Morningside hires include Lisa (2 years), Hannah and Vince (1 1/2 years), and Quintin and Annie (just hired).
“The holiday season is the perfect time to give back to our community!” Merrigan concluded. “I recommend hiring hard-working Morningside employees.”
Morningside is a private, not-for-profit (501-(c)(3)) community rehabilitation program providing employment services to individuals with disabilities.
